How to access and backup an android database file

1) access database file  

    >$ command window or console 

   >$ adb shell

   shell> run-as {pageckagename}

    shell> cd /data/data/{packagename}

    shell > ls 

2) backup database file 

     >$adb backup -noapk {packagename}

3) convert to tar file

    dd if=backup.ab bs=24 skip=1|openssl zlib -d >backup.tar
